There's nothing I can recommend because you haven't said what you're trying to accomplish.ĭon't think "replicate my toolset I currently use". Other similar tools - I have no idea what you are trying to do. With that said, it's polite to run ClamAV or the like on a weekly cron job just to keep PCI compliance and be polite to Windows folks. It would be found so fast that any distro putting out malicious binaries as part of their distro would be called out quick. Even if you're not a kernel hacker, enough others are that this stuff just doesn't fly even in compiled binaries. While there are viruses and malware out there that can infect a Linux system, they tend to be exceptionally limited in scope, or the built-in tools can locate them easily. Malware doesn't really 'work' the same on Linux.
